Biography

Professor Benon C. Basheka, PhD, FCIPS, is an accomplished scholar, consultant, and thought leader with extensive expertise in governance, leadership, and public administration. He is the CEO and Managing Director of Radix Management Consulting and the Founder and Managing Partner of Benon Basheka Associates (BBA), a legal consultancy firm. With a career spanning academia, consulting, and institutional development, Prof. Basheka has distinguished himself as a key figure in shaping strategic initiatives and reforms across multiple sectors.

Prof. Basheka holds dual doctoral degrees—one in Political Science and Public Administration and another in Educational Administration, Leadership, and Management. He is currently pursuing an LLM in International Commercial Law, adding to his extensive qualifications, which include an MA in Social Sector Planning and Management, an MMS in Management Science, and multiple postgraduate diplomas in Legal Practice, Project Management, and Procurement and Supply Chain Management. He also holds an LLB (Bachelor of Laws) and a BA in Political Science and Public Administration.

Recognized as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (FCIPS), Prof. Basheka has made notable contributions to procurement and supply chain management. His leadership at Radix Management Consulting and BBA Associates reflects his commitment to fostering excellence in governance, strategic planning, and institutional growth, both in Uganda and across Africa.

Achievement

In his consulting career, Prof. Basheka has worked with prominent organizations such as the Pan-African Parliament, the African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC), and the Alliance for Food Security in Africa. He has also led governance and strategic planning initiatives for the Uganda National Building and Construction Association and conducted a mid-term evaluation for the Fransiscan Investment Society. These engagements highlight his expertise in institutional development and his ability to drive transformative reforms.
